As part of a fact finding mission three representatives from MeduProf-S went to Kampala and Nairobi recently to determine the way forward with the MeduProf-S e-Learning environment.
In Uganda, an e-Learning course ‘X-ray Pattern Recognition’ has already been developed by ECUREI in Kampala and MeduProf-S, the content of which will be launched in the near future free of charge to Radiographers, Graduate Nurses and Doctors.
In Kenya, e-Learning will be used to enhance the curriculum being developed under the hospital rehabilitation project. e-Learning will therefore form part of the curriculum development process as modules will be developed to supplement each curriculum.
Whilst visiting the Medical Imaging, Bio-Medical Engineering and Nursing Training Schools, it became increasingly obvious that all departments were enthusiastic about developing e-Learning content. Due to initial limitations of only having the capacity to develop 1 or 2 courses we have proposed a solution to solve this problem.
MeduProf-S has created an e-Learning environment and is willing to be the facilitator enabling various training schools to use it. The e-Learning environment will then become sustainable as each institution / training school develops their own courses / modules and training schools involved will have access to ALL courses on the MeduProf-S e-Learning environment.
